Inside Bravo Star Heather Gay's Ozempic-Assisted Weight-Loss Journey

"The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" star Heather Gay has been in the spotlight, thanks to her incredible weight loss journey. Gay opened up to People about using the popular GLP-1 injection Ozmepic in 2023. "I've been on it for a long time, but hadn't really seen much result. And I haven't had massive results, but enough for people to notice, which is great," she shared. Since then, her transformation has been undeniable, so much so that "RHOSLC" star Heather Gay's face has totally transformed (and not just from Ozempic). In fact, in 2026, Gay was mentioned as one of the Real Housewives stars who have sparked 'Ozempic face' rumors, but unlike many others on the list, Gay has been open about her use of the weight loss medication.

Side-by-side images of the star in 2023 and 2025 clearly showcase her weight-loss transformation. "It's been a long, overdue glow-up. Thank god for modern medicine, that's all I can say," the star said in 2024 (via Bravo).

That same year, Gay also shared with ABC News why she decided to try Ozempic. "Everyone I knew was taking these GLP-1 medications, losing weight, and just bragging about how great it was and magical," she said, adding. "I didn't want to show up at another party and see all of my friends 20 lbs. thinner and just be resentful." The reality star admitted that she had felt certain pressure to give the medication a try, saying, "A pressure and also just maybe a last hope." After losing around 30 lbs., Gay decided to stop using the popular weight loss injections in late 2024, but said that if she needed to use them again in the future, she wouldn't be opposed to it.

Heather Gay opened up about her body image struggles

On the podcast "Pop Culture Moms," Gay revealed that body image issues had been a constant throughout her life. "There's never been a time in my life that my weight hasn't been an issue. And I guess there's a lot of sadness, because my weight's been up, my weight's been down, and I'm, of course, keenly aware of how the world treats me when my weight is down versus when my weight is up."

The "RHOSLC" star shared that after she had lost the weight, people began treating her completely differently. "I never realized how much my weight affected the way people treated me," Gay shared in 2024 (via ABC News). "But I have loved all the versions of myself and I feel like body positivity wasn't a lie for me. It changed my life. It allowed me to be on TV, it gave me this chance."

Gay also explained that empowering her daughters, Ashley, Georgia, and Annabelle, to not feel imprisoned by body image issues has been a significant goal of hers. "I want my daughters to feel absolutely empowered in their bodies. I don't want my daughters to feel limited by their body, like I did," she shared on "Pop Culture Moms." The star's transparency about her body image issues and weight loss thanks to Ozempic has been a breath of fresh air in an industry in which many still fuel the stigma surrounding weight-loss medication. Luckily, Gay is not alone. Numerous stars have opened up about similar experiences. In fact, before and after pics of millennial celebs who have used Ozempic and other GLP-1s showcase just how transformative the medication can be.
