Lori Loughlin's Voluminous Bob Is One Of Her Biggest Hair Swings In Years

"Full House" actor Lori Loughlin knows a thing or two about a transformation. In fact, fans have gathered over the years that Loughlin is no stranger to cosmetic tweaks, but, more recently, the star debuted one of her biggest changes yet. She was almost unrecognizable when attending Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Opening Gala for The David Geffen Galleries on April 16, 2026. The actor surprised us all by wearing an extra voluminous bob to the event, marking a departure from the shoulder-length locks or long extensions that she usually favors. 

According to People, even Olivia Jade Giannulli (one of Loughlin's daughters who is grown up and gorgeous now) was so stunned by her transformation that she wrote on her Instagram Stories, "How does my mother look like this?" Whether this cut will become Loughlin's new signature remains to be seen, but it's a great look for the actor.

Throughout her tenure on "Full House," Loughlin wasn't super adventurous with her hair. She always kept her shoulder-length tresses styled simply, yet elegantly. In the years following the conclusion of the show, she stuck to this formula, as it suited her face shape. When she decided it was time to give her luscious locks and bangs a bit of a chop, the result was a lightly layered bob with plenty of volume and movement. The style was such a big swing for the actor that many fans even thought she was wearing a wig. A follower commented on Us Weekly's Instagram post about her bob and said, "Cute- but it's a wig." Loughlin's hairstylist David Naumann quickly set the record straight. He replied, "It's not a wig ;) I'd know."

This hairstyle switch-up came hot on the heels of Lori Loughlin's divorce from fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli. Unfortunately, we missed some pretty big red flags in Loughlin's marriage, and it came as a surprise when the couple split in October 2025. But Loughlin seems to be thriving in the wake of the breakup.

It appears that her post-divorce glow-up is starting with this fresh cut. It's possible this dramatic hair transformation is part of re-entering the dating world post-divorce. After all, Loughlin was married for over 20 years, so this marks a totally new era of her life. A source told Us Weekly, "Lori has been putting herself back out there after her split from Mossimo and is dating again." While the actor certainly seems open to exploring new connections, the source also said she's "keeping things light and casual," adding that Loughlin "feels like she got her spark back." 

While this hair transformation was definitely a big surprise (much like Victoria Beckham's spiky pixie haircut), it'll be interesting to see what the actor does next or who she might be seen with.
