Dame Joan Collins' recent Cannes look is further proof that the "dress your age" sentiment should be banished from fashion discourse forever. The 92-year-old star attended the Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony and screening of "La Vénus Électrique" on May 12 to promote her upcoming film "My Duchess." Collins stunned onlookers at the Palais des Festivals in a custom Stéphane Rolland Haute Couture gown.

Collins swept across the red carpet in the sculptural white dress, which featured dramatic, petal-like ruffles covering the strapless bodice, a middle slit, and a flowing train. The "Dynasty" icon paired the gown with Old Hollywood-chic black opera gloves and plenty of diamonds. Of course, Collins made sure her makeup was just as stunning as her gown; the actor opted for a rosy blush, bold pink lip, and a pop of purple eyeshadow. Collins was the picture of grace and elegance on the red carpet, posing effortlessly for the hundreds of cameras and showing off her jaw-dropping gown — easily one of the best looks of the day.

Dame Joan Collins' viral gown at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival is one of many fabulous, age-defying looks the television icon has worn over the past few years. While on vacation in the South of France in August 2025, the actor showed off her fantastic legs in a one-piece swimsuit. Collins posted a picture of the stylish poolside outfit on Instagram, pairing the white swimsuit with a dramatic red sunhat and turquoise bangles, layered necklaces, drop earrings, and a statement ring.

In March 2026, Collins posted another daring 'fit to Instagram that had fans swooning. The actor wore a brown and white zebra print minidress in a photo with husband Percy Gibson, who is 31 years her junior. Collins showed off her legs center stage once again, proving that you can (and should) feel confident about your legs at any age, and styled the look effortlessly with a white blazer, oversized sunglasses, and a tan sunhat. Even into her 90s, Collins always looks glamorous both on and off the red carpet, showing the world that fashion has no age limit.
