Christina Haack & Heather Rae El Moussa's BFF Relationship Is The Best Positive Co-Parenting Story

Reality television stars Christina Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa are a friendship pairing that nobody saw coming. Connected by their marriages to real estate star Tarek El Moussa, the two ladies entered each other's lives in the late 2010s, and they've only grown closer since. Christina, who was married to Tarek from 2009 to 2016, has two children with the HGTV star. Heather married Tarek in 2021, and together they welcomed a son in 2023. Since Christina and Tarek are co-parenting their two children, Heather has found herself in close proximity to Christina often, and over the years, the two have built an admirable relationship.

"We've actually been close for a while now," Christina revealed to People back in 2024. "We communicate about the kids all the time. She's an amazing stepmom — the kids love her so much," she gushed about Heather, adding, "People like to take drama and then spin it and act like no one's getting along, but the reality is everyone's gotten along for a really long time and co-parenting is very important to us." Over the years, Christina and Heather have spent countless holidays together, ensuring their blended family gets along well. 

However, things weren't always effortless between the two, as some tension became public news in 2022. "Heather and Christina haven't been getting along lately," an insider told E! News at the time. "Christina feels Heather oversteps her boundaries when she parents her children and Heather doesn't feel like she gets enough respect from Christina." However, the two seem to have resolved their issues with each other since, and their friendship has only gotten stronger.

In 2025, the HGTV series "The Flip Off" premiered, and viewers got to see Team Haack battle Team El Moussa as they transformed real estate projects. After working so closely together, Christina Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa's relationship only became better. "It's made communication more open," Heather told People in 2025. "I think when you're getting along with someone and you can communicate — especially if something's going on in the kids' lives — we can talk to each other about it and make sure we're on the same page. It just makes everything better and everyone happier."

Of course, it's no secret that working with an ex can be tricky, but it certainly seems as if Christina and Tarek managed just fine, and we have no doubt that Heather's support played a role in that, too. "There have been so many times throughout all of this that I'm like, 'Wow, I can't believe we did that,'" Christina shared with US Weekly in 2025. "I'm proud of all of us," she added. The two ladies admitted that picking on Tarek has been one thing they bonded over. After day one of shooting, Heather revealed that the two didn't expect to have so much fun. "It was great. [Christina] texted me after saying, 'You're so fun to film with,' and I was like, 'Oh, you too!' We just laugh. We pick on Tarek," she added.

Apart from putting their children as a priority, the two women also have plenty of other things in common. In fact, Christina Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa never learn from their inappropriate school outfits, but their joint fashion mistakes make the two even more relatable.

In 2026, the two ladies shared a reel on Instagram in which they are walking side by side with the text "Coparenting so hard, we left the kids at home for a double date" written on it. Needless to say, their followers were thrilled to see the two sharing more insight into their relationship, revealing that they don't only hang out with each other when their kids are involved.

In fact, a video Heather shared on her YouTube channel in 2026 showcases just how comfortable the two ladies are hanging out. In the video, they even talked about meeting for the first time, with Heather admitting that she was nervous to meet Tarek's ex-wife. "You were in the backyard, I think you were wearing this cute sundress ... I was definitely, like, intimidated. And you asked me a few questions to break the ice," the "Selling Sunset" star explained. Years later, it's clear that Tarek, Christina, and Heather are among the celebs who have co-parenting down to a science.
