In May 2026, Joan Collins' Cannes look at 92 settled the argument; stealing the show isn't just for the young. Later that month she turned 93, and continued to have folks wondering how she looks so stunning. Botox? Ozempic? The Brit beauty, who became an icon thanks to her role as Alexis Carrington on "Dynasty" in the 1980s, actually has plenty to say about those two topics. But more than anything, her philosophy is about simplicity, and not getting caught up in fads.
There are many lifestyle habits that may help you live longer and improve your appearance along the way, and Collins, author of "The Art of Living Well: Looking Good, Feeling Great," subscribes to a number of them: She regularly eats avocados, whose healthy fats, fiber, and vitamins contribute to interior and exterior health; Collins exercises with a trainer, because yes, there are actual skincare benefits associated with sweating; she eschews junk food, which can show up on the skin as well, and took cod liver oil as a child and always ate her greens; and she gets eight hours of beauty sleep each night. It's as simple as that.
What Joan Collins has to say about GLP-1s, Botox, and her beauty routine
When it comes to embracing her straightforward life worldview in regards to her stunning looks, where does Joan Collins stand on some of the more modern tools in other actors' beauty arsenals? She's said she would never take a GLP-1 because she fears Ozempic face, and she has never had Botox or anything else injected in her visage, in large part because she has a fear of needles.
She attributes her stunning looks to old-fashioned fastidiousness and skincare. Since the age of 14, Collins has used night cream and daytime moisturizer. She's also a devotee of SPF and staying out of the sun as much as possible. To reduce eye puffiness before red-carpet events, she puts cotton pads in a bowl of ice and puts the pads on her eyes for five minutes. She also always washes her makeup off at the end of the day.
And speaking of said makeup and her signature heavy-eye look: She does it herself and has since the beginning of her acting career as a teenager, which is how she became a pro at creating the perfect daytime smoky eye.
